Yun Funa, a one-stop international logistics online service platform, announced that it has received a new round of financing led by CITIC Capital and co-invested by Xianghe Capital and its shareholders. Its D1 round of financing totaled US$150 million, setting a new record for a single round of financing for Chinese emerging economy companies in the field of international logistics digital services. According to the company’s plan, all of the D1 round of financing will be used for Yunquna’s in-depth deployment of overseas destination ports to further enhance the door-to-door product service experience.
Yunquna has completed multiple rounds of financing, with a total financing of more than 300 million US dollars. Investors include Coatue, Sequoia China, DCM, Source Capital, China Merchants Venture Capital, CITIC Capital, Xianghe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation Asia Capital and other well-known domestic and foreign investment institutions.
Zhao Lei, senior managing director of CITIC Capital, told Chinese media 36氪, “CITIC Capital will use its experience in cross-border services, logistics industry networks and international mergers and acquisitions to provide assistance to Yunjina. Yunquna went online in February 2015 and has established overseas branches in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries, and will set up more overseas branches in 10-20 regions around the world mechanism. The next 1-2 years.
