What is Microfiber and Why Use It?

Microfiber is a synthetic material usually made from a blend of polyester and polyamide. Unlike traditional fabrics, the fibers are extremely small – about 1/100th the size of a human hair. The fibers are also “split” like an asterisk (*) allowing the fibers to collect and trap contaminants in the towel instead of just pushing them around like a traditional cotton towel.
They leave no dust or dirt behind like other towels, making them ideal for any cleaning task. In fact, you can use a microfiber towel dry for dusting and in just one swipe a dashboard will be perfectly clean with not a speck of dust.

They are ideal for polishing and removing wax. Microfiber tends to not scratch your finish like traditional towels can. Microfiber is also extremely absorbent, holding up to 8 times their weight in water making them ideal for toweling dry your vehicle. And because they are able to be laundered, they won’t scratch your finish like a dirty chamois will.
