Microfiber has a natural static tendency and will pick up about anything around it including dust and dirt. When you are not using your microfiber towels it’s best to store them in a plastic bag by themselves.
It is also suggested that you store your microfiber towels separately by how you use them. For example, you don’t want to cross contaminate the towels that you use for cleaning glass with residue from towels that you use to clean wheels or remove wax.
